Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Whirlpool cabrio platinum

Ashbash7 10/23/2019

I've been lucky had mine about 5 years but have put up with alot of what I see from these reviews. We got our place and didnt have anything so we purchased these and made payments on a loan with them with interest over a matter of three years. So easily 2 grand. Well our clothes arm pits dont get clean. And our clothes stains even with stain fighters do not come out. I have two young children. And the machine smells like it sours, like it hold water somewhere inside the machine but never leaks. However upside is it washed all my households size comforters and pillows and two loads of clothes at a time. I'm not a fan of it not having a twisty dial in the middle my clothes just seem to spin and not surface which is why I think they dont get clean.

Poor Quality and Design

CNM1 5/14/2019

I bought my washer about six years ago and initially it worked great, but in the past few years it's been a pain. The lid has broken off and been replaced twice and it's broken again. (off to buy a new machine). As many owners have stated - dark colored clothes ALWAYS come out with white spots all over them and you have to wash over and over to try and get it out; also I've washed clothes and when I remove the clothes on the top they are almost dry because of the low water levels. Great in the beginning sucks in the end!

Worked great until it went out

Red13 4/26/2019

Worked very great for about 4 years. At about 4 years and 6 months the bearing went out causing a major water leak. It basically destroyed the unit and it DID completely destroy my floor. All my appliances are whirlpool and I've been a faithful customer but this just disappoints me.

Cabrio Washers Have Bad Tub Bearing Design

Lost CA Customer 4/25/2019

I'm very disappointed with my Cabrio washer. A major weak point is failure of the tub bearing. I just finished replacing the bearing for the third time in the seven years that I have owned the machine. They tend to go out about every two years. Cost runs around $350 each time. It's sad that Whirlpool doesn't even try to redesign the bearing to address the pre-mature failure issue. The third bearing was just replaced about one month ago and now the machine is throwing an F1 code and won't spin. I'm so done with Whirlpool and will be shopping for a new washer soon, but it will not be a Whirlpool because what they are selling these days is total JUNK! I'll be warning everyone that I know to stay away from Whirlpool products. By the way, I also own an older Whirlpool refrigerator that has performed flawlessly for over 20 years. Apparently,Whirlpool has lost its way and no longer values their customers or cares about the products that they sell. It used to be a great company, but no more.

Lasted 6 years

CJ97 4/17/2019

Purchased the Cabrio Platinum washer dryer set, and after barley 6 years my dryer started taking a long time to dry 80-90 minutes for average load, and shortly after my washer started making a very loud sound during the spin cycle. It's the sound of a jet engine taking off, I don't run my washer when I have company because it's so loud. Now it makes the sound of a jet and a bird chirping, and I was told it would cost anywhere from $350-$600 for repairs, so I'm ordering 2 new sets of LG for my upstairs and soon to be finished basement. My last set lasted more than 9 years before the dryer element went out so I "upgraded" to this set even though my washer was fine. Looks like the bearings are a common problem with this set from other reviews, and I will stay away from Whirlpool for my next purchase.

Total waste of money.. Clothes never get clean and there is always a white residue left on the clothes. Don't even get me started on the water level, or lack thereof.. Worst decision I have ever made....

Didn't last!

EM1550 2/16/2019

Loved this machine for the four short years it lasted. Called two separate repair firms who both said "buy a new washer." They said it was a known problem with this machine and was about a $600 fix. I bought the machine because of the good reputation Whirlpool has and thought it would last at least ten years like good appliances used too. I'm sick of the "throwaway" garbage companies sell us today.

Disappointed

MontourSL 1/5/2019

I've had my machine for a while... and hate it. How totally short-sighted the designers of this eco-friendly machine were. It isn't eco-friendly AT ALL. I love the giant capacity, but hate that it won't fill with enough water to properly clean the clothes. And forget about soaking anything stained... that's not an option at all (yes, there's a setting for it... but apparently Whirlpool doesn't know what "deep" or "soak" means). So... this "save the environment" machine uses more water - because you have to run everything through the cycles twice (more water, more electricity) and it STILL DOESN'T get the clothes clean. I actually took a freshly washed load to the local laundromat (where the machines FILL with water) and I couldn't believe how much dirt and soap residue remained! Horrible machine, just horrible.

Washer

SuzieQA 11/10/2018

Wow I just seen the reviews and it's crazy how all the reviews are all the same. I bought myn in red in 2013. I'm lucky I guess because I'm still using myn. I'm a single grandmother and I do laundry everyday. I can't afford to buy another one so I continue to use myn even though I have the same problems. It still washes my clothes but I put up with the loudness n the knocking. I love my set n if I had money I'd buy a new one. Nothing last forever but hey it's not only whirlpool.

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum HE RUST!

disappointed in TX 9/11/2018

Purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum HE Nov 2014 & just noticed the washer has RUSTED in the inside front washer and side. What happened to Whirlpool washers lasting longer than 3 years!!!??? this is crazy and I wash only for 1 person -myself therefore my wash oads are small. Very disappointed & devastate, my last Whirlpool washer lasted me 12+ years! I either got a Lemon for a washer or Whirlpool is not making quality products anymore . I did not plan on having washer end up with RUSTl like a used or junked washer after purchasing brand new!

Don't waste your money on this washer!

Mtwin 9/4/2018

We bought this washer/dryer set 4 years ago. I just had to have the bearing replaced and he said there's something else that is wearing out. This is the last whirlpool appliance I will ever buy. We work hard for our money and expect a decent machine for what we paid for it. My question is, why hadn't this been recalled? I think I'm checking in to who I need to contact about having this piece of junk recalled. You just lost a lifelong customer.

Bearing Failure/Jet Noise

BE52 8/18/2018

We bought the washer in 2013 (delivered 10-7-2013) and am disappointed that the washer is broken and not worth repairing. We paid $70 to be told the washer is not worth repairing. It sounds like a jet engine. The matching dryer is still working fine.

Won't buy a Whirlpool again

DisappointedMommy 8/4/2018

We bought the Cabrio Platinum set 3 years ago and discovered that it really wasn't made to last much longer than the 1 year warranty. Our problems started with rust inside the washer, progressed to having to replace the bearings, and now the control board has failed. The cumulative cost of repairs exceeds the cost of purchasing a new machine. This was our first Whirlpool purchase and after the disappointing experience dealing with Whirlpool to rectify these issues, I absolutely will not purchase another Whirlpool product again.

6 years old, slowly dying - jet engine failure

OH_Simpson 7/15/2018

When we bought this, it was probably before online reviews were readily accessible and even so, seeing this listed as a 4.4 star on Whirlpool seems extremely unlikely given it is a whopping 1.5 stars on Amazon. In any event, we bought the combination from Lowes after moving into our new home and use it weekly. I'd say over the course of this time the washer has been fixed 3 times (now requiring a 4th), but has progressively gotten louder over the course of ownership, as many have mentioned, it sounds like a jet engine on spin cycle and can vibrate quite violently even when pinned next to the dryer. Our last error code was an F51 which required the replacement of the rotor position sensor. Lately, we've been constantly getting an uL code which seems to indicate that the suspension rods (or potentially the rotor) are failing. We can't get through a cycle without the uL code popping up and having to fight through a wash. Honestly - from a customer service perspective Whirlpool should (as they respond to nearly every comment) be able to see that nearly every customer begins experiencing very similar mechanical failures, which sounds like in any event was a design flaw or manufacturer's poor Quality Control as opposed to something all these poor people did after spending a small fortune on buying this combination. I'm going to fix this latest fault myself since we can't live without a washing machine, and I'm sure any response from Whirlpool is going to require a several hundred dollar repair visit only to find the washer is not worth fixing, but - please be sure, I'll never be buying a whirlpool/kenmore/maytag appliance ever again. My parents washing machine lasted them 25 years and cost a fraction of the price (inflation included), this is absolutely unacceptable, though not surprising anymore given the state of these types of corporations in America.

Jet engine then failure

LAChief 6/28/2018

Nice looking unit but! Then the machine just gets louder and louder. The technician came out and tilted the unit up looked under it and saw the rusted dirty water spatter and said it needs to be replaced. It will cost more to rebuild it. He said the bearings and motor are shot along with a few other components. How the warranty company wants to replace with a cheap Kenmore that dosn't match our Whirlpool dryer. Appliance manufacturers have really gone down hill, appliance may last 24 or 36 months months and are disposable, very sad industry.

It happened to us too!

Celeste57 6/26/2018

Same thing happened to us, and around the same time! I see a pattern here...clearly a defect. About 1 year ago I noticed the spin cycle getting loud, then louder and louder, then for several months now it's sounds like a 747 going through the whole house! Wow! Ok, let's get someone to check it out. $100 service call. Technician was here, 5 minutes...didn't even run it to hear the sound he knew what it was! Over use, he said.......um it's 4 years old and only two person household. Estimate $700, bearings and shaft...but he suggests a new one...but wait you don't sell them anymore...so now I'll be stuck with miss matched set. Or pay $700. To fix it! We loved the set so much at first we recommended it to our daughter..I guess she should be prepared hers won't last much longer. This is very disappointing. I have never written a bad review for any product! Whirlpool should recognize this problem. I will continue questionnaire below, with a reminder that before this issue I found the washer to be a very nice product.

Washer broke

Jaycee32629 5/15/2018

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. We purchased this washer and dryer 3.5 years ago($1550.00) and just after the warranty ended (1yr) it started to sound like a jet engine. Sometime later we started to hear a grinding noise when it entered the spin cycle. Whirlpool: "Let's get a specialist, trained to service your machine, at your house to see what's wrong with it." Spend another $100.00 to be told the repairs will exceed the worth of the machine. Service rep: "My advice is to just buy a new one..."

Clothes do not get clean

SScott 5/8/2018

I have owned this washer for about three years now. No matter what setting I use the clothes do not get clean if they are dirty. I put a flashlight on the lid and watched several loads. The clothes do not really rotate from bottom to top and back. The only reason why the top of the clothes are wet is due to the spray from the top of the machine. I verified that the "agitator" in the middle is working and shooting water but it really is small and flat for such a large machine. I tried the soak setting to see if that would help but it didn't even cover the load with water. I checked it every 10 minutes and it just sat there. I have to pre-wash all clothes by hand that have any amount of dirt. Basically the machine is only good for clothes that do not look dirty. I do not fill the washer up as it can't clean a small load. I break all my loads into small loads, wash, flip the clothes over and wash again with a double since. I purchased a large cu ft machine only to use it as a small machine. What a waste of money. There is no way I am saving water. My family has been a Whirlpool family for generations. This machine is terrible and it should never have made it to the production line. I will not purchase Whirlpool again in the future.

JUNK

Jlove5789 4/23/2018

I've read others on here about how their washer died after 4 yrs. Well mine did just now! (4/23/2018 1502hrs) we tried everything. We even have the junk clothes dryer to match. for what was paid I'd expect a little more longevity out of your machines.

Died too early

Sandrah937 4/6/2018

My Cabrio Platinum washer (in silver) started sounding like a jet engine last week. I called an appliance company to come look at it ($78.50) just to tell me that it would cost more to fix it then to get a new one. I spent the money to get the matching washer and dryer although my dryer was still working at the time, and now I already need to replace my washer. It did wash clothes well while it lasted. I expect a washer to last more than four years, plus my Whirlpool microwave only lasted two years and my whirlpool dishwasher only lasted 3. I'm buying the upgraded Stainless steel models and they are junk. I used to buy strictly Whirlpool because back in the day they made a quality product. Now I'm going to try to find a new brand to start purchasing and hope for the best.

SOUNDS LIKE A JET ENGINE

Jimbo40906 1/28/2018

I spent quite a bit of money on this washer and matching dryer and it's complete junk in my opinion. it has never cleaned well at all. If I need to wash gym shoes I have to go to a pay laundry or use an old type (NON HE) washer at my other residence. It has always been extremely loud but, now it sounds like a jet engine. It's enclosed inside a laundry room with insulation in walls and solid wood doors and you can hear it everywhere in house. It got so loud that I was afraid it was going to catch fire and called a repairman and was told I could buy a new washer for a little bit more than it would cost to fix this one. I have several rental units and will not be buying whirlpool brands for any of them. I also will not recommend the whirlpool brand to anyone. I know things happen but how can a company let something like this out? Is there NO research and development. Another example of making disposable products that are of no real use to start with. All these companies "Have to be Green" or get bad press. If this is what going green is all about, you will be insolvent soon and no one will have to deal with whirlpool brand washers.

Disappapointed - Do not recommend

LovinLife2 1/26/2018

This was always an extremely loud washer during drain/ spin cycle. Sounds like a small jet in the house (on our 1st floor/ main living area). There is nowhere in our 4-story house that it's not audible. Warranty ran out 1 month ago and the control panel stopped working. Had to pay the price of a new washer just to get this one working again. I wanted a large capacity, top-load washer and this was the one I purchased. Considering the price I paid to buy this washer, I thought this would've lasted longer. I would never repurchase this brand and recommend another brand.

Spin cycle sounds like a jet plane

tiredofthefix 1/24/2018

We bought this thinking it would last with our family of 5 with 3 kids in sports. It still washes clothes, but the spin cycle sounds as if a jet is taking off, this is very annoying because it is on the main living floor. After doing some reading I am afraid that this is going to be an expensive fix. Why would I do that knowing I will have to do it again in a few years? My old 1970's inefficient washing machine lasted 40+ years, I wish I had it back now! I don't see purchasing another whirlpool, I will look elswhere.

Love but so loud

amyk3 12/10/2017

Bought a few years ago but sounds like a jet plane is taking off. With the amount spent on this machine and the purchase of matching dryer you would think it would not sound like you are standing outside at the airport.

Great Washer but doesnt last.

Noodlepy 11/16/2017

I bought this washer 3 years ago and the bearings have gone bad. Sounds like a rocket taking off. The price to fix it was almost as much as a new washer. I like the washer so much I am going to give Whirlpool the benefit of doubt and try again. Hopefully the new one will last.

Never again

Very Disapointed 10/22/2017

I purchased this unit 3.5 years ago, bearings went out and the cost to fix was almost that of a new washer. Sorry Whirlpool, no more for me.

Not so great

12/30/2016

After having this washer for a little over two years the noise level increased greatly, the noise on spin cycles is so loud there isn't a place in our house you can't hear it. I wrote Whirlpool support and they basically said too bad man made things break. the previous Whirlpool washer I had lasted 20 years I guess Whirlpool has changed so will I.

This machine Stinks! Clothes dirtier when they come out

KMR 11/15/2016

I purchase this machine and have had nothing but problems with it. I wash my delicate items as well as my black items in cold water and they come out dirtier than when they go in, they get a nasty white scum on them even after doing 2 extra rinses. I use the proper soap (very small amount) and I have used the washing machine cleaners too and nothing works, I even tried soap for dark colors, cold water wash, etc. etc. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. I contacted the company and was only directed to someone else, they can't or don't care to even address this issue. I will never buy another product from them! Beware

Bearings bad after less than 4 years

golfermom 10/2/2016

We bought this less than 4 years ago, but have had issues with it ever since. It needed a new pump, it has leaked for a year or longer, and now the bearings are going out.

Cabrio is effective with spin cycle

Somewhat happy 12/8/2015

We bought our washer and dryer approximately 6 months ago. We believe we are saving money with using less water and less electricity with the dryer. The down side of this washer is the spin cycle is so efficient that the wrinkles do not come out without ironing! Also, I need to call the repair department as the washer is beginning to make noises! If this is a simple fix we will be very happy!

Satisfied

Lone Joe 9/24/2015

I bought my cabrio after my front loader broke beyond repair. I have had it for about a year now. It has been reliable, quiet enough to watch TV. My clothes are clean. I am satisfied with my purchase.

Love this washer but bearings are going bad!

9/17/2015

My wife and I absolutely love this washer but unfortunately the bearings are going bad after only two years. This may be a manufacturing defect. The result is a VERY loud noise during spin cycles. It will be interesting to see if Whirlpool will stand behind this defect and offer to repair.

Bought this 2 months ago, and LOVE IT! Really like the dial with the options for whites, sheets, towels etc... Picks the correct temperature for what I'm washing. Also the quietness is wonderful!

Easy High tech!

Elizadoo 2/13/2015

I got this a few weeks ago. It leaked the first day! So I got another one. If I had read the He pod directions, I would have know to not put them into the detergent dispense ! Suffice it to say, read the directions!

overall absolutely amazing!

Alverde 2/6/2015

I bought this washer along with the dryer in Dec 2014! I'm in love with both of them. I don't think they could have made these anymore better! There are many options on the washer and dryer. Like: extra rinse, sanitize etc. Overall great buy!

great features but slow

srk2975 1/23/2015

I bought this machine a few months ago but I am not very happy with it. I thought it would reduce the number of loads I wash a week but I can only put a regular basket size load or not all the clothes even get wet let alone clean. I do like all of the cycle choices but a normal cycle takes over an hour. You also need to remove the clothes immediately and shake them out to prevent permanent wrinkles even on the medium spin cycle setting. As long as you only wash regular sized loads and put them in the dryer right away it is an acceptable machine.

Very cool

Jody71 12/31/2014

I've always had an agitator so I don't know how it works without one, but it seems to do a great job of cleaning my clothes. It's quiet and efficient.

Great Washer

RouRou 12/9/2014

I love the variety of preset settings, yet the flexibility of makes a slight change in each. The washer is quiet and efficient, and I can see what's happening inside at any moment along the cycle.

Many, many options.I love it!

hpkelly 11/12/2014

I bought my new washer a couple of months ago and I love it. The range of options from water temp to spin speed is great! My washer has a light in it so I can see whether things are being properly agitated and I really like that.

Love the settings and options.

SciteachNM 10/18/2014

We have had this for a month now and are very pleased with its performance. I found the "normal" setting did not wash my loads well and didn't have enough water in the basin. I switched to "bulky" and am happier.
