There is another review complaining about the meat drawer. We have the same problem. It regularly slips off the track, dumping the contents and often knocking more stuff off the shelves. They have already replaced the track which did nothing to alleviate the problem. Fortunately, we invested in the warrantee. Now they are coming back... when they get around to it... with a new ice maker which died after only five months, replacement drawer and track. The sad thing is the repairman said he had a similar problem with his refrigerator. Apparently, he doesn't even bother complaining about it.

Don't buy this refrigerator

I am currently waiting for an answer from Whirlpool for the problem with this refrigerator. The meat drawer which runs the width of the refrigerator, falls off the track. This causes serious problems with the food below as well as my back trying to lift the drawer out and then back into the track. This occurs daily whenever I try to pull out the drawer to obtain something or put something back.

Very disappointed!!!!!!!!!

I bought this refrigerator two weeks ago. The meat drawer has fallen out 3 times already! Very poor design. There is a sliding shelf inside the door of the refrigerator. When sliding it forward, it falls out. None of the shelves are split, and so I find it very difficult to place larger plastic containers any where in the fridge! This is not a user friendly fridge, and I have already called the appliance store to see what it would cost me to return this product!

When checking model and serial numbers on the "ID Plate" inside the main compartment, I discovered my new appliance was already 2 1/2 years old since it was made 5/2012 in Mexico !The gasket on the freezer door is defective. New door is on order. The repairman said to expect 3 months to deliver....Makes a lot of gurgling and moaning noises.I'm a very disappointed consumer.

Right Size, but has drawbacks

After a few weeks using I am finding disappointments with the manufacturing of certain areas. The pull out drawer below the top shelf cannot be pulled out very far or it falls out all together. I am unable to open my door fully to put it back. It appears to be missing a stop on the left side or else the drawer is just a bit too narrow. Big agrivation. Wish I could get this fixed.

Set Coldest Setting to operate BRAND NEW!

From the time it was delivered I set the controller as instructed to allow it to adjust for 24 hours & a day & a half after it was delivered it was too warm. Then the next day I set it to the next coldest setting & it still wasn't cold enough. So the next day I had to set this refrigerator to it's coldest setting to have it operate close to normal levels. It only as one adjustment controller. So sometimes items in the back of this fridge freeze & the freezer has never gotten to proper operating temperature of zero degrees or below. Fridge temperature ranges from 34-40 degrees & the freezer temperature ranges around 3-11 degrees. I have separate thermometers in the fridge & freezer & occasionally move them from front to back & constantly monitor them as I use it. It's a new fridge so I assume it should operate correctly from the get go....It keeps the food cold, so I am just living with it at this point & will call for service should it get worse.

Going back to basics

This is a basic refrigerator. It has just one thermostat which is a problem. I have it as low as possible to attain the proper temps in the top and bottom. The center pull out draw I see as a future problem very flimsey. There aren't any leveling adjustments to prevent it from sliding forward. The kick plate on the bottom will pop off for sure when falls out. I see this as a step up for a small child which certainly won't work. You get what you pay for though $900 doesn't seem cheap but by today's standards I guess it is.

This is our third whirlpool refrigerator in 3 months. The first one, the ice in the ice maker holder would partially melt then refreeze leaving a big clump go ice in the freezer no matter the temperature setting. Also the drawer under the top shelf would fall off the tracks. Refrigerator number 2 after a week the door would not close on its own.. Lowes did replace the units. We have had the third one for 2 weeks. Hopefully lowes will not have to replace this one.

This refrigerator seems be to well made. Nice appearance. The meat keeper tray is inconvenient. It goes all the way across under the top shelf and gets in the way of tall items on the second shelf. I took mine out, it was too shallow to be of much use anyway. Would prefer to have some way to adjust the freezer temperature relative to the refrigerator temp. There is only 1 temperature control.Lighting is good in both compartments. Noise level is low, quiet.

It's hard to get the freezer cold enough without freezing stuff in the refrigerator. They should have separate controls. The large cheese and lunchmeat rack falls out, sometimes, so you have to be really careful with it. The door racks are ok, but I've seen better. The only place big enough to hold large half & whole gallon jars and pitchers is on the door. I would normally put them on the top interior shelf as well. For the price, we may have been able to get a different one without these drawbacks.

Not impressed with this product

The biggest problem is with the snack drawer. It falls frequently with very little in it, poor design, plastic slides that fall out easily. Would never buy another Whirlpool refrigerator.

This is an overall good refrigerator. It is easy to use and keeps the food cold. It is a bit on the loud side when it is using energy to cool the inside.

Love this refrigerator.

I love the brightness in the interior of this refrigerator and freezer. The glass shelves are great for cleanups and the clear bins on the door are just the right sizes to store food items within easy reach. The shelf in the freezer makes organization there so much easier! The refrigerator is also very quiet when running. And I just love the sleek appearance of this appliance in my kitchen.

This refrigerator works soooooo good!

I am very pleased with my Whirlpool refrigerator so far. It keeps my food cold and very fresh. I didn't realize it had a can caddy until today. Therefore, you don't have to put drinks in a drawer. I really like that. I also discovered if you don't keep drinks in the can caddy, it is a great place for eggs. Thank you.

Nice refrigerator

The refrigerator is attractive and roomy. The only drawback I have is placement of shelving and drawers. The lower shelf on the fridge door is recessed and hard to see what is on the shelf without bending over. Also, the design of the fridge on the inside does not allow for many arrangement options to accommodate different size products. There is not adequate space for many tall items.

I don't really like the lay out of the frig and the lunchmeat and cheese drawer is cheap, and keeps falling off the tracks! I didn't think it was up to Whirlpool standards. I think Whirlpool is the best, but things about this frig don't come up to Whirlpool quaility!
