I like this refrigerator

Bought this a few weeks ago, so I can't speak to longevity and so on. But I can say it is roomy, well lit and convenient to use. Fingerprints are not obvious. And it runs quietly. While I don't have the new light bill yet, this should save a little as it is more energy efficient than the one I had. Overall very pleased with this purchase so far.

I don't like the interior water dispenser very good. But since we are using is as the extra fridge in the garage, it isn't too much of a problem. The shelving space isn't as efficient as I would like, I wish it were more flexible.The FreshFlow produce preserver seems to be very useful so far.

Was impressed with my new Whrlpool refrigerator. I went to my dealer with a tape measure to make sure my new refrigerator fit in the space in my kitchen. I don't know how you did it but in roughly the same space there is more room inside. My family thinks it's fancy looking (whatever).

Not a good fit for my Kitchen

Excellent refrigerator, good space and design. We are more used to drawer freezer on the bottom and fridge on top. It is difficult to get used to this one. No fault of the fridge, just not a good match for us.

Like the space available--very roomy--and the amount of shelving, makes for ease of use. Like the amount of room in the freezer section and that it has a light. This refrigerator replaced a side-by-side and took a little time to get used to the freezer being on top but not a problem. Like that it is fairly quiet.

I never had this bad experience with Whirlpool.

We replaced our 15 years old Whirlpool 21 cf refrigerator with this new one with improved features like light in the freezer. We also had good experience with Whirlpool. It has been over a month since it was delivered but it has not worked right. The refrigerator temperature stays above 50 degrees, guarantee services take longer time and it has a new thermostat but still no help. Temperature is 60 degrees now. Lost a lot of food. The next mechanic visit is next week, let's see what happens. Warranty service needs improvement.

We purchased all Whirlpool appliances for a new home as we already had a recently purchased Whirlpool washer and dryer. We chose the top freezer option as we find that more convenient than the French door design for width of storage space. The only feature we do not like is the location of the setting dials which obstruct the front/ top of the upper shelf space. Not sure who came up with that idea but it should be addressed to be less obtrusive.

Poor temperature control

Had this unit for 6 months. Continue with problem controlling the temperature. No separate controls for freezer and fridge means either the fridge foods are frozen or the freezer foods are not frozen to a safe temperature. So either ruin fridge foods or risk salmonella. Tough choice.

We bought this refrigerator to use as a second one because we have a side by side in our kitchen. However some of the features in this model make it a better fit for me than the one I had. My favorite feature is the full width drawer for meats and cheeses. It is amazing to have that much space, and the things inside the drawer are visible as soon as you open the door. No more disturbing discoveries of exotic colonies of fuzzy green things sprouting out of forgotten packages of cheeses you buried in the bottom of the usual narrow drawers you see in most refrigerators. The bins in the door are also large so you can easily fit larger containers in them. The use of space in this refrigerator is phenomenal.

Good product in general, but needs a better layout

I love the middle drawer, but I have found that there's never enough room for tall items because the door storage doesn't hold that much and I can't fit them in the main part. It's also nosier than I expected. But it's attractive and doesn't take up too much space, as well as being energy efficient.

Very Poor Design, Very small, and Noisy Door

For being the biggest top freezer refrigerator that Whirlpool makes, it is very small.The refrigerator design is very poor. The shelves are solid all the way across which does not allow for customizing their positions enough to allow for a few tall items (open wine bottles, milk or juice jugs) to be stored anywhere but in the door which does not have enough space to store all the tall items I need to store.The refrigerator compartment is very short making it difficult to get to items in the back of the top shelf without kneeling on the floor.The door storage is very shallow which does not accomodate much stuff.Ever since the refrigerator was installed, opening and closing the door causes an obnoxious squeak in the front feet/supports. I've tried adjusting the supports but have not been able to make the noise go away.

Meat and cheese drawer is junk

Do not try to actually put meat and cheese in this drawer. The brackets will not hold the weight and will fall out of the track every time. I would not recommend this refrigerator.

Lots of choices with the door shelves and handy new full wid

There are several choices for the configuration of the door shelves and they are deeper than the older versions. The full width drawer is handy for oversized items. However, there are not a lot of options for the configuration of the internal shelves. Works well for a second refrigerator/freezer. Can't comment on the ice maker since we did not install one.

Very dissapointed

We've always had good luck with Whirlpool products, except for this refrigerator. The freezer section was not freezing well after the first week we had it. Had to call the repairman who replaced the thermostat, he said it was a common problem. Now the refrigerator section is too cold & the freezer still doesn't seem to be freezing well. The repairman is coming again next week. No separate control for the freezer, just one control for both freezer & refrigerator, so it's hard to adjust. Not sure if this is just a bad refrigerator overall or if we just happened to get a lemon.Not sure if Whirlpool is just making cheaper products now, but after this experience I don't think I would take another chance.
