Very Roomy

I've had this refrigerator about a month and have been unable to get some problems corrected. The installers from store where I bought it have been here two times resulting in no satisfactory corrections. After making a call to Whirlpool they scheduled their service person to come. He called me and said these things are not covered under warranty and he would not get paid. The doors on the front are uneven; the right door flies open requiring me to always hold it when I open refrigerator. Also the ice is very small much of it is broken in pieces when it comes out of dispenser. The refrigerator and freezer are quite roomy and it fits into my space well. Someone needs to take responsibility for the problems I am having. This is not my expectation of a new product.

Looked at every brand on the market, hands down Whirlpool simply has the best designs. The space savings feature of icemaker in the door is simply brilliant. Along with the quick ice feature there's plenty of ice for everyone, and guess what? Because the icemaker isn't taking up all that room in your freezer when we had a party this past weekend and needed to buy the extra large bag of ice for the party, there was room in the freezer for it. No need to drag up a cooler from the basement. Yea!

The exterior looks very nice with the stainless handle. You can use it in a kitchen with other stainless appliances. The ice maker is not working properly as it builds up with ice/snow and can't be dispensed and doesn't taste good. Also the drinking water will not get cold. Service is coming out next week to look at. Hopefully it will be fixed.

I had my kitchen redone and purchased this to replace a 20 year old GE. I have to say the 20 year old GE was a better made refrigerator than this one. This one is poorly designed--not enough shelf options in fridge and in the freezer. Having shelves in the freezer rather than roll out baskets is not practical. Not everybody stores boxed foods. Having said that, most of the refrigerators I looked at were similar in that respect. This fridge doesn't seem to have enough space compared to my old GE; yet, they have the same cubic footage. Another thing is that the temperature in the fridge section seems to fluctuate too much. The best thing about it is the ice and water dispenser.

Overall this refrigerator is pretty good. I like the appearance and overall functionality. With that said, my refrigerator seems to make a weird clicking sound very frequently. The manual says it is most likely a valve opening and closing but given the frequency and varying lengths of time it makes the noises I doubt it.

Great Features But Makes Noises and Drips Water

I bought this refrigerator 3 months ago and I really enjoyed my purchase at first. After about a month I started to notice water dripping from the compartment where my filter is and the refrigerator started making a knocking sound that lasts for well over a hour at a time. I had a service guy come out and he trouble shot and electronically reset the controls. He said the knocking noise was normal and should only last a minute or two at the most, but my refrigerator is still making this knocking noise and still lasting a hour or more. Also, for the drip where my filter is the guy thought the filter may just have a bad seal so he just removed the filter completely. This did not work and the slow drip is still happening. Needless to say I have the service guy scheduled to come out again to look at my refrigerator. I know whirlpool makes great products so I am sure this was just a needle in a haystack, but I just want to get my problems resolved. I do love the features and look of this refrigerator.

There are s many things I like about this refrigerator. I have a big family and we make weekly Costco trips. This fits everything. The freezer is on the narrow side so frozen pizzas have to sit on their side, but again, all of our food fits. The filter is super easy to change. We have had ice jam in the dispenser, but I have a suspicion that it is due to the kids having not closed the door all the way. On the last service call, they loosened the doors so they would close easier and we have had no more problems with stuck ice.

Well it keeps stuff cold

This is our first side by side- and the last. It runs fine. We just do not like the shelf layout- we have moved it around several times and we just do not think we can get much in it. It ice in the door takes up a lot of space in the freezer section. Frozen pizzas much be stood on edge to fit.You need a better way to adjust the ice and water in the door. The water is slow and not cold enough- the ice dispenses very slow and at an uneven rate.The thing is huge but it does not seem to hold as much as our old 19 cu ft.

I have bought Whirlpool appliances for over 30 years and have had excellent service from them. This refrigerator has been a big let down. It keeps items cool. That's about all I can say for it. The cool water dispenser works poorly, the ice maker is slow, and most of all, the machine is noisy. It has a loud mechanism that whirs and makes noises at various times.

This is a replacement for the same model, only one step up. This unit has been working just great right out of the gate. The upgrade includes stainless steel handles, and a freshness filter. It produces ice very quickly, but just barely keeps up with parties. Suggest that you start a zip loc bag before your next party to help keep up...day to day...it keeps up with demand.

My wife and I are impressed with the overall appearance of the unit, and it has worked properly since we purchased it several months ago, there are a few features which I now find disappointing.1- The top shelf-- while it looks tall enough to hold a gallon jug of liquids- But the light appears to be an after-thought and gets in the way of storing taller containers- No the shelf is not properly adjustable.2- Door shelves-- several interesting features- They are "al"l not interchangeable, and there are not enough selections of adjustment brackets built into the door. Almost seems like not much forethought went into this feature.3-The ice maker is slow and storage capacity is small- not a big problem, but something I happened to notice. The fast ice feature does not overcome this concern.4- Mobility-- Many people like to pull the refrig away from the wall ( a couple times a year) and clean out the dust-- not an easy thing to do !5-The door open light ! Gimmick? If I were to notice that small dim red light, I would surely notice that the door is open. This feature does not hurt anything but is not a help either...Overall your product has an excellent outward appearance, keeps our food cold and fresh and will operate properly for years to come.We just wish a little more thought was given to the interior design/ layout

I bought this fridge when they first came out about 2 years ago. We redid the kitchen and wanted to update it. When we build the house 31 years ago we had a whirlpool and its still working in the garage to this day, so they are build the LAST. I hadn't had the new fridge 2 weeks and the ice maker when out. Well in the 2 years that I had it, it went out 6 times, each time they replace the ice maker for free. On the seven time I said I want a new fridge, just like it, cause this one must be a lemon. The store gave me a new one and I haven't had any problems at all and I love it...... Whirlpool makes a great product and they stand behind it, which is something you do see anymore.......

roomy for organization inside the frig

we are very satisfied with our new frig. it is quiet, the water and ice supplies are great and taste great. our color is black and looks good in our kitchen. the finish on the frig is great and easy to keep clean. the freezer is great with the ice maker on the inside of the door. We purchased from HH Gregg and everyone at the store and delivery was outstanding. thank you

great refrigerator... but a little noisy

Honest review here.Its a nice looking and spacious refrigerator .However, it is noisy with a loud ice maker. I don't regret buying it but if your sensitive to background noise, AVOID this product

Received the fridge and everything seemed fine until the the freezer cooled down and the shroud that encloses the ice maker in the door swelled out so that it actually rubbed when opening and closing. They came out and adjusted the levelers which only worked for about 3 weeks and now it's even worse. Past my 30 days to complain however.

Great features and good use of space!

We bought this for our new house and we couldn't be happier. The fridge side is laid out nicely, with shelves placed where you can get the most utilization. The freezer side has a great layout with the ice maker in the door...freeing up more shelf space from top to bottom.

Space is everything

Love the amount of space inside the fridge and freezer. I can store tons of food , leftovers, & prepared food in the freezer. Also it's great that everything is adjustable depending on container sizes. It also fits a large pizza box without hanging over or being jammed in.

I have all most always had whirlpool ,because of the quality of the product and service I've received . In 1980 I had a washing mech. built in the year I was born 1947. I sold it and bought a new one . The refrigerator is the best the wife loves it and wouldn't have any other brand in the house. She likes the 3 draws and the amount of room. The filter is easy to change for the water and icemaker . My kids also are hooked on whirlpool because of quality and service that we have gottenthank you and keep up the good workWilliam Blakeslee

Lots of space

We used to have a Fridge in the garage, after purchasing this one, we no longer need it. The freezer room is awesome, with the built in the door Ice maker. Runs quiet, takes less electricity than the old one. Now we are down to one fridge instead of two.
