Love my new 30 inch wide French door stainless fridge. I had a old style refrigerator and had to lean over and could never see what was in the back of it. Love the French door feature and no more bending over everything is a eye view. Was very fortunate to find the size that I needed for my space. Most of the refrigerators today are 36" wide and this one fit into my smaller space just perfect.

Once I figured out how to arrange all my food in this French door, freezer on the bottom appliance I really liked it. Good use of space. The light is bright unless I block the top shelf with too much food. My only complaint is that the motor is fairly loud. I would think by now they would have figured out how to make the motor quieter. Otherwise, great appliance. One thing to note is that the brushed nickel finish does stain very easily so I have to wipe it down on a daily basis to keep it looking nice and shiny.

I bought this refrigerator without really bothering to look it over, my previous one conked out and I needed a replacement quickly. I have had it for a few weeks now, and I really like it. Multiple drawers and compartments are great for separating items that cool to different temps and moisture levels. I haven't gotten the built in icemaker plumber yet, I will though and look forward to fresh ice!

More room than I thought

I'm very pleased with my Whirlpool. There is more room than I thought. The only disadvantage is lack of space for taller items. The milk fits perfect on the door but I put my water pitcher in the area where the shelves slide back and only have room for one 2 liter bottle. I do lie bottles down hoping the top is on tight. The freezer is also very roomy.

AFTER 4 years use: my honest opinion

Bought WHITE from HD. Family of 4. Standard features - all work. Roomy: yes, fridge and freezer. Ice-maker: Still working. LED lights: Classy! Hinges/looks - ext and int: still like new. <<< The bad part (1 star loss) >>> - The 2 half width veg and fruit shelves very badly designed. Keeps falling off, they hang from the upper shelf. Warranty - does NOT cover shelves. - The milk canister door shelf - absolutely useless. Any gallon milk when put there would cause it to open when door is opened! Many times, my milk fell! - The cheese and butter tray top portion glass has an arresting white strip in front. Again very badly designed as it keeps falling off. - Behind the tray there's some sort of left over opening closed with a plastic hatch. Inside which all your stuff dripping from the above shelves (if occurs) collects! It took us a long time to figure out where a nasty smell was coming from. - The freezer trays - there are 2 of them I can not take them out to clean them and also the walls of the freezer. <<< The VERY BAD part (2 star loss) >>> - We have this for the 4th. year now with the final 5th. year in progress with HD extended warranty. - During the 1st. year the controller went kaput. Had to be replaced under warranty. - During the 3rd. year, horrendous noise from fan started to come. Once again the servicing guys came and replaced something in the back. - During the 5th. year (now) again the problem re-surfaced. This time it was a small thing at the back which got clogged causing water backup from evaporation and caused the fan to get stuck / make noises. - Nowhere in their service manual they state that we need to pull out the fridge, open the bottom cover (with perforations) and towards the left side bottom there's an internal pipe with a rubber (yellow/white) gasket/funnel. That needs to be pulled out and cleaned - regularly. Not only that - there's a white tray there which should be cleaned too - as it was pretty dirty. <<< CONCLUSION >>> Already we had 3 service calls. As per our warranty contract with HD - the 4th. call means the fridge is a lemon. With the issues surrounding design of the shelves coupled with issues I faced, I can not recommend this fridge.

I have had 5 refrigerators in 7 years. All of them had manufacture defects. I love this Whirpool refrigerator. I have had it for 4 years and it is going strong. I haven't had any issues with it at all. The storage compartments are easy to see through. I love this refrigerator.

I bought this to replace an old, basic fridge. The split doors are really nice when you just need one little thing from the fridge. The separate drawers for vege's and meat work really well. The freezer is awesome. It is easy to get into and keeps my food nice and frozen. I also got the no finger mark stainless steal which is working really well.

Have been disappointed with my fridge I bought it from Lowe's someone had returned it not knowing I guess they owned for almost a year . The problem started about 8months after owning it. It makes a crazy noise sounds like something to with fan maybe.now it's making a constant humming noise and ice has formed in the freezer section. We purchased this refrigerator a couple years ago and it began making a very loud, irritating noise but also produced a build up of ice in the back of the freezer. This not only prevents frozen foods from staying frozen, it stops the refrigerator from keeping food cold in that area. The first time this happened, we lost all our food. Lowe's sent a repairman out but he said there was no fix to the problem because of the design of the product. He disconnected the refrigerator and spent hours defrosting it with a hair dryer. Since then, it has happened again but we were able to rescue our food. The same repairman came and had to do the very same thing. Now I am going through the very same thing and (once again) have lost all food because it is not cooling or freezing. I will now have to wait until after the holiday before I can even get someone to come out to repeat this stupid repair process. I definitely will not buy another Whirlpool. This experience has been awful.

Thought this was the perfect replacement for my dead refrigerator. Unfortunately, it's not. The movable shelf takes up 2/3rds of the shelf leaving a small nonmovable portion that's too little to hold much. The drawers for vegetables are not symmetrical so you have to open both doors in order to get anything out. In addition, the one drawer is too big and the other too small. The small "Pantry" drawer at the bottom provides little storage space while creating so much wasted unusable space. I firmly believe this refrigerator is not designed for families that cook all their meals at home. I tried to put my large chili pot/dutch oven in the refrigerator and couldn't--the shelves are too close together. As I was moving shelves to accommodate my pots, the shelf with the movable piece broke. When I finally had space, the chili pot took up almost the whole shelf. Now, I'm finding water on the shelves and in the vegetable drawers--I have no idea why the water is there. I find the general running of the refrigerator to be noisy, especially when the ice maker fills with water or someone fills their cup with water from the door access.

We purchased the fridge in May 2017 and we noticed that rust spots are coming through the stainless steel on the left door. Whirlpool, when called, told us that we probably had enviramental issues in the home causing the rust, and sent us a cleaner to clean it off. My first issue is that stainless steel, if good quality, won't rust. Secondly, all the other appliances in the kitchen aren't rusting, just the left door. To be six months old and rusting is very poor quality, and Whirlpool needs to replace the unit or at least the left door.

I bought this item to replace an older Frigidare with a top freezer. While this item looks nice, it does not have a lot of room. The designing of the shelves is confusing as you have to loose an entie shelf to fit any full size bottles. The bottom freezer takes some getting used to, and again, not alot of room. Unfortunately, because of the space in which our refrigerator is situated, we are limited in the sizes we are able to purchase.

The French doors are a lovely feature aesthetically but not practical. With two adults using appliance, we have left the door open repeatedly. Closure is tricky and not recommended for a family.

Love the amount of storage space and humidity controlled drawers. Everything at eye level, easy to find, but I was told this stainless steel refrigerator was a smudge and fingerprint resistant. It's not. Deeply disappointed! Would only recommend this to a friend if they didn't want stainless steel.

We have a fairly small opening and the 30" is the only fridge that would fit. Luckily it's exactly what I wanted. The double french doors with a freezer on the bottom. The fridge is cold and the doors beep if left open too long. There is plenty of space for everything. I love the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker isn't very loud and the ice is fresh and clean. The one and only negative for me, is that there isn't a lot of room for tall items. Milk, juice, coffee creamer, wine, etc. Otherwise, it looks great and it works great. Thanks Whirlpool!
