Mold grows fast in the Load and Go Dispenser!! Its horrible. I have been cleaning and frequently and it's impossible. Very lousy design. I have used Whirlpool my whole life but this machine, when I bought was the best and latest... I'm totally disappointed. You can't stop the mold from growing inside the dispenser and you can't clean it either! LOOK AT THE IMAGES I wish i could return it... I have had it for almost 2 years and I should have send a review sooner to save others from this pain and waste of money. DO NOT BUY!!!

So I bought this from the builder I used it for a few months . My husband was not happy our clothes stunk . He thought I was leaving them in the washer too long or something. I was telling him I was doing it the same way for over 25 years ... All of sudden i notice the last tide I bought when I moved here was unopened which made me look into the dispenser .. Well there is no detergent being dispensed and the whole thing was mildewing . HORRIFIC . now I have to pour all the stuff inside the machine and there is to way to leave the dispenser out , which is a hassle to clean after we do the laundry HORRIBLE

This machine was good for a year and then the soap dispenser and the drawer that holds the dispenser filled with mold. I replaced all of these parts only to find that a few moths later the same thing happened. I kept the dispenser open after each use to dry out and this still continues to happen....

One of the reasons I purchased this machine just last year was the concept of the Load & Go detergent dispenser. Little did I know the detergent dispenser area would grow BLACK MOLD! You can visually see the dispenser tray retains water after a wash cycle so I would slide the tray out after doing laundry to air dry, but the dispenser cavity itself grows mold and it is impossible to clean. Can NOT RECOMMEND. Spend your $1,000 on a washer that cleans, not produces mold.

I purchased this machine and matching dryer 11/17, well repair man has been here so many times that Lowes is now buying out my machine. I am so angry, about 6-8 months after buying it I noticed our clothes didn't smell like detergent even a little, the machine was pouring water into detergent dispenser diluting detergent. I started adding detergent to every load, then I just called service, well after 6 times repairing the same parts, Lowes is buying it out because I bought a 5 year warranty on the pair. Well sounds like a good responsible thing doesn't it, well not exactly. They are giving me the original price of the machine plus tax. What about the over 3 years of warranty remaining? O no you lose that when a buyout happens, I am very angry about this also. I have no idea what to do now.......I'm just so disgusted with this for 22 months now putting up with this headache of a machine and gross black mold in load and go detergent dispenser.

I bought this machine in August 2016 and it was a nice machine until about 3 weeks ago. We get E01/F09 errors along with F03. After testing and testing we thought the problem was with the pressure switch and purchased a new part, but not luck. We came to the conclusion it must be the control board. Very disappointed the machine didn't last longer. Too expensive to fix.

We bought this washer two years ago. It has worked fine - until today. This morning I ran a small cold wash and dried it in the matching dryer. Six hours later, in preparation for leaving for a week vacation, my wife tried to run a small wash only to find the washer completely unresponsive - the control knob wouldn't select anything. More significantly, the panel behind the control knob was extremely hot, so hot that it has discolored the selector face (see photo). We immediately unplugged the washer, waited 30 seconds and plugged it back in. Clearly, the circuit board behind the control knob is fried.
This concerns me for two reasons: first is that this failure occurred in just two years of light use - there's just the two of us; second and more importantly, in our absence (on vacation) this might have resulted in a fire that could have potentially destroyed our home or worst case caused a fatality.
I am extremely disappointed that Whirlpool's design doesn't include adequate protection (fusible link, hello???) to prevent such an event from occurring. I'm not likely to recommend Whirlpool products to my friends and certainly not likely to purchase another Whirlpool product myself.

Any one that has this washer needs to take a very close look in the detergent compartment. Remove the detergent tray and then look inside the compartment. Good chance you'll see some black, disgusting mold.
Brought this to Whirlpools attention and was told to use bleach and a brush to clean it. A machine that goes for a grand? You want me to scrub it ?
Had a couple techs come out and they didn't want to touch the machine. They offered to replace all the contaminated parts. Said no. Tech said mold was all through machine. In pump,hoses, all through machine.
He said was a defect with Whirlpool.
Whirlpool said to do cleaning cycle and keep doors open after using machine. Already do that. Tech said won't help. Cleaning cycle only cleans tubs. Not detergent compartment. This is a serious health issue that Whirlpool chooses to ignore. Check your machine folks. Shouldn't be washing clothes in black mold.

I have a couple of issues with this washer. The printing on the settings are very small, hard to read. I would like choices of times for some of the settings, more or less time for ex:delicates, towels. I don't like having to clean out the rubber rim space around the opening. It collects dog hair, fuzz & various pieces of "things" that settle between the two rubber liners. If the door is left open, "stuff" dries out. But if closed after a washing & left in the bottom, the "stuff" can smell...ick! Otherwise, I do like the quietness of the cycles. The automatic dispensing of the liquid soap is a time saver & measures only what is needed for each load. Overall, the washer is a nice companion for the same Whirlpool Dryer model.

I love my new washer and dryer. I have been using them for two months now and works beautifully. This is my first front loader and I could not be happier switching from the top loader. I love the load & go dispenser. I actually purchased an extra dispenser as my Woolite dispenser so it's ready to go when I need it. What a great feature of a drum light in the washer that can be turned on at anytime during the wash cycle. So glad I decided on these machines. I hope they last for at least 10 years!

This is our third purchase of a Whirlpool front-load washer and it is, by far, the noisiest. The washer itself has a tinny echo and the pump is unusually loud. The unit is otherwise satisfactory and performs well.

Overall I am happy with this washer. The auto dispensing detergent is very handy and less messy than having to fill with each load. However it is important that you choose the detergent level for the type of detergent you are using. I found it dispensing too much detergent at first and had to change to level 4. One other thing that is different from my old duet is that the delicate cycle is more like the hand wash cycle ( which is omitted on this machine) and does not wring enough in my opinion but is easily changed by user to a higher level and is remembered for the next time you use it. However , if you lose electricity all defaults will be reinstated so beware of that.

I have had this washer for about two weeks and love it! The many cycles and options make it easy to use. Clothes, towels, and bedding come out clean and the appropriate spin cycle allows for quicker drying. I love the load and go option and the light inside the washer tub too.

I made a mistake buying this washer. I have had it less than a year and within the first 6 months the load and go dispenser began growing mold. I would use afresh and bleach but it keeps coming back. I called the manufacture and credit card company but they say it's user error because I'm not cleaning the dispenser enough. There have been lawsuits in regards to this problem and whirlpool continues to sell the washer. Now I have to look into a new washer. Suffice to say, I will not purchase a whirlpool! Don't make the same mistake I did!

Our old GE washer and dryer finally died. Whirlpools were highly rated so we purchased them. Easy to use and has nice options. The washer doesn't seem to walk around the laundry room which is a good thing. Make sure to fully close the soap dispenser - we didn't once and water shot out of the unit and made a big mess

Load and go compartment as well as front door always built up with mold. Clean it out and it seems to be back next cycle. I'm sure it's elsewhere. Expensive mistake! Do not buy!!!!!!

Very simple setup, easy to use. Really like the automatic detergent dispenser. Just have to fill the dispenser, and the washer add the right amount to your clothing load. Never have to guess how much detergent to add again. Save money just on that alone, and also not creating mold inside the washer because of over filling the detergent.

We do the cleanings wipe down the inside, leave the door cracked but never knew the inside where the detergent was was covered in mold. All of our clothes smell like mold and we can't get in all the way to clean it out. I would buy a new washer but don't have the resources since we spent more on this one to get what we thought was a better one. Also, shrinks clothes.

We've had it for a couple of weeks and the smell is still awful. I purchased a special product to eliminate the odor and it did not help. You have to wipe down the door and drum after every wash and leave the door open. It leaves lots of water behind.
