Mold growing in soap tray!!

I have had this product for around two years ago and constantly having a. Mold issues in soap dispenser. Now the box that hold the detergent will not dispense.... beyond aggravated.... why do we pay the amount for a product that does this ..... I have tried to clean where the mold is and it is impossible to get it all out.

Yes I'm so disappointed in this Model! Maybe because it's manufactured for Lowes!! Poor quality!! 8mo old machine & in 3mo after purchasing I had mold in tray as other pictures/reviews mention! a few months ago, water pours out of corner of dispenser during wash cycle. We consistently receive "det" error. Friends warned me not to buy; I did, & now regret. I have always had whirlpool appliances, stove, fridge, microwave & it's a shame you-Whirlpool didn't test for this option of mold- in tray! Or didn't care just to get a product on the floor! Not easy to clean, seriously what are you thinking?? The pictures I'm sending, I just cleaned two months ago.
Also, I'm giving 1star on sound because we can't leave our laundry door open during spin cycle. It's very loud....I also wish it came w/2 dispensers since I'm allergic to Tide & use organic for my clothes although my spouse needs tide for his work clothes. It's a pain to wash all his, judge how much detergent you're using so you can clean it out before you put in the organic detergent.

I should have trusted the poor reviews of Whirlpool products when I read them. I have had this machine for less than 3 years and am now on my 2nd fatal error. The machine died in less than a year when the mother board failed. Now, the control board has failed. Whirlpool does NOT cover all repairs (even if through their preferred vendor). They do NOT stand by this $1300+ machine. NOT worth the money!!! Be prepared to spend hundreds more on top of your purchase price if you expect to get more than 12 months out of this machine!

I purchased about 2 years ago and I had to get it replaced immediately because the soap dispenser for the liquid bleach kept on filling up with water. It had to be replaced as a result since they were unable to fix it. Now two years later the quick wash cycle is a minimum of 43 minutes when it used to be 25 or 26 minutes. Not sure how this happened but the normal wash cycle on the light load is 41 minutes but the quick wash is 43 minutes - go figure!

My family has had this machine for 3 years. After about 8 months of having it, we noticed large amounts of mold growing in and around the dispenser tray. Under whirlpool warranty, they came out, told me it was common, and that it was my job to air out the tray and the drum to prevent mold. I was very upset by this. Since when is it my job to make sure my machine doesn't grow mold???? Their only solution was to replace the tray. With the dispenser tray open after every wash, and the drum door open after every wash, mold still grows. We just keep cleaning it out hoping it would not come back. Fast forward, three years later. Still mold growing and now the soap dispenser doesn't work. Soap is not being dispenser. The warranty company came out and told us all the tests are showing up great. In other words nothing is wrong. The tech suggested replacing some parts to handle the mold. We are waiting to hear if that goes through. The bottom line, Shame on you Whirlpool. Your immediate response to mold should have been an automatic unit replacement. Obviously something is defective. We are very disappointed. After buying all new whirlpool appliances three years ago throughout the whole house, we thought we would be respected and treated fairly. My hope in this review... letting consumers know this model is not safe, and letting you know that whirlpool does not have great customer service. Whirlpool, if you read this, I really hope you reply. We need a new machine! This is not safe for my family.

While I understand that the company warranty does not cover certain things, it is unacceptable to have to replace a CCU board in under 2 years of use. We are looking at a $375.00 part that is not covered on a newer model machince...including labor, tax, etc., we are looking at a $600 repair on something that is less than two years old.
We have a GE that is 15 years old that is dedicated to towels, sports equipment, jerseys, dog blankets, and other heavy duty use -- it runs beautifully!
The Whirlpool does lighter duty delicates and basic every day laundry, not including bulky towels!! We send items like comfortors to the dry cleaners.
This is totally unacceptable.
Purchased from Ferguson Enterprises...perhaps they have an answer.

We are often running different size loads and the Load & Go system has made it much easier as we don't need to worry about how much detergent to add for the best wash. It is a little noisier that other washer I have owned.

After only a few months of use, I have the same problem as another reviewer - extreme mold in the dispensing compartment, the official Whirlpool rep came out and said it's a common problem and there is no fix. Said he sees it all the time. Told me to remove the compartment each time and dry it, also, to leave the door open (I already to that.). Why have a load and go when you have to wipe down the dispensing unit each time, I had a Duet for seven years with no problem.

I bought it last april and it works just great and I am realy please about it. Only thing is that I see that the plastic door has some friction with the spinning barrel and the bottom of the door is now more than just scratched it is open about a quarter of an inch wide

We definitely are not satisfied with the performance of this washer.
In December 2018 we bought a Whirlpool washer Model WFW85HEFC and it was not performing as we expected. Clothes were wet after final spin cycle. We had a technician check it, he said it was operating correctly. We returned it to where we purchased it and bought the current Model WFW92HEFC as this model has an extra fast spin speed ( which the previous model didn't have ) assuming this would
cure our issue. Again the same issue. Any improvement was extremely marginal. We had a technician come to check this model. Again, he said his diagnostics said
it was working correctly. With both washers we would also use the drain and spin cycle after the regular wash and spin cycles had completed without much difference
in the final result. As a consequence our dryer, Model YWED85HEFC, which we also bought in December 2018, has to run longer to dry our clothes.
Now we don't know what to do.

Bought washer and dryer a month ago. So far very impressed with functions performance. Only issue I have is the function panel wording is in a very light gray and hard for me to read when all the lights are on. It is bigger than my other washer and thats a plus. Also the vibration level is minimal to what we had. I can actually have some on top of the washer during spin cycle and it doesn't fall off! Overall very pleased with them for the very short time we have had them.

This is a quality product and works well with intuitive controls. We purchased it with a support pedestal that makes loading/unloading more ergonomic. However, this ergonomic advance comes at a disadvantage that should be noted by perspective buyers. The pedestal raises the detergent, conditioner, bleach pull-out door to an inconvenient height. Further more, the drawer itself seems to be quite flimsy and we are concerned that placing any weight upon it when pouring liquid detergent, conditioners, or bleach directly from the bottles could break the door or its track. Whirlpool makes great products - they should have thought this design through better

Had to replace my old duet that I had for 10 years so, I bought this a few weeks ago and already did several loads of laundry in it and it works great.Too bad it was 2 inches deeper, had to take the doors off the laundry area to make it fit.

Bought this a few weeks ago and its working as expected. the detergent Load and Go storage holder is perfect it is so surprising how much detergent waste we had with our previous washer in detergent. Maybe this will save us some money on liquid detergent as it doesn't use much for each wash. The previous washer was also a whirlpool, however it only lasted 9 years due to the bearing, We are hoping this one lasts longer with no problems and the bearing issue has now been resolved in this new model. We didn't get the dryer as we already had the dryer from the previous purchase and there is nothing wrong with it. so now the colors are mismatched but who cares, we are not going to drag company to basement to show them a washer and dryer.
