My old one still worked but had a few issues! So I went shopping and found this was a good deal and would fit in my limited space. I like the fact that it's quiet and holds a lot of laundry. It does take longer than my old one but I understand that is true of most new wshers, dryers, etc because of the electrical use (or some thing - I never have been sure why the dishwasher now takes over 2 hrs).

I have had this dryer for almost 2months, it is amazing, so advanced, It does so much, the steam option is great for my clothes that need a little ironing, pretty soon the iron will be in my rummage sale. So happy I bought this item. Almost all my appliances are now Whirlpool. Love all of them! Thanks for making such great products.

A wonderful dryer compared to the ones I've had over the years. It's very quiet, and fast. I do have to watch the time for some settings that are on the dial as it can get too warm/hot. For most of my articles I use the "timed dry" setting. And, the lint filter is easy to clean.

It worked great for a week, then they installed the "steam kit" , and then the "check vent" light has been on ever since. The installers have been here 3 times and the light will go off until they left and it would come back on and I'm tired of calling them into do something about it.

We've had this dryer for almost a month now and really like how quickly it drys our clothes and how quiet it is. It have tons of features (some we haven't used yet) and the touch pad is easy to use. We also like that it is made in USA.

I bought this about 6 months ago and love it. The dry time is way faster than anything ive owned before. The features, such as moisture sense, wrinkle free, the ability to change the heat levels, etc. are so helpful. Plus, its quiet which is important because its in the basement where my eldest son sleeps. The drum capacity itself cut laundry time by half. Im so glad I went with this model and brand.

I've had it for 6 wks. I like the size of the drum. A little disappointed that the clothes have been damp on the first pass - not every time, but definitely if there is a heavier item mixed with lighter items. The lint catcher is effective, but difficult to pull out & put back in. I have no intention of using the steam feature, which seems like a gimmick to me, and just something that can go wrong.

We needed a dryer to sit on top of our front loading washer by Whirlpool. After contacting whirlpool service representatives they were able to help us with the right dryer to match existing washer by whirlpool. I love the added freatures. I didn't think I would need anything with a lot of bells and whistles, but very pleased with this whirpool model. I wish we would have purchased the matching washer now too but nobody sees it but my husband and I.

After a couple of weeks, I'm happy with basic performance of dryer. But doesn't fit in my very standard laundry area, despite salesman's repeated assurances. My 2003 house has laundry room that includes access from garage into rest of house, like many homes in California. The dryer seems to fit, but very helpful Check Vent sensor says No.
Day of delivery we adjusted dryer & the check vent light went off. But apparently dryer "walks" because not only did that Check Vent light come on again, but door to exit house was also blocked. (No one had come in or out while this happened.) There goes option of putting a load in to dry & leaving house - I wouldn't be able to get back in without going to front which I don't want to do in dark. Or even working in yard without carrying a key.
After some research, I found it's possible to have dryer vent moved between studs for about 50% of what I paid for dryer. So there goes the Black Friday savings I thought that I scored. This modification to wall seems to be only solution, but I haven't been able to pay for it yet, so can't be sure it will resolve problem.
Thank goodness I didn't also purchase matching washer at the same time (which I seriously considered). Matching washer (& all other Whirlpool front loaders apparently) will not fit into space. There is no structural change possible to change that fact. Strange part about measurements is that both appliances are significant narrower than previous set. You would think that some of depth issue could have been off set by that available width.
Haven't been able to use dryer very much due to concerns regarding fire from vent becoming blocked, but it seems to work well & slightly faster than my old unit. Tried out the Wrinkle Shield steam feature & worked great on queen sheets.
Think Whirlpool designed this model for those rich folks who have separate laundry rooms with tons of space in their houses. I don't expect to ever fit that criteria.
Bottom line - I will make this dryer work, but am sorry that I made the purchase.

I'll start by stating that the dryer itself is great, super quiet and drys pretty fast.
With that said, our 4 month old dryer stopped working and getting a repair has been absolutely horrible. Between Whirlpool and the local repair company they have missed 3 appts. The first time Whirlpool never transferred the order to the repair center, the second time the repair center canceled the work order for some unknown reason, the third time they didn't have the part even though we spent hours on the phone with them to ensure they would. We will see how the fourth attempt goes. Each time we waited during our scheduled time, only to find out that they weren't coming. Assuming they can fix it on the fourth attempt, we will have been without a dryer for just shy of 3 weeks. I insisted on buying Whirlpool to support American jobs and company, worst service we've ever experienced.
